We know losing a loved one is a sad and emotional time and that planning a funeral reception needs to be as straight forward as possible. Our friendly staff at the Woodman are very experienced at hosting such occasions. With compassion and sensitivity they will guide you through the planning process and help you decide on a few personal touches to ensure the occasion is right for you.

The Woodman offers a calm and comfortable setting, conveniently located within a 6 minute drive from Breakspear Crematorium. There are no hidden room hire charges, this is incorporated within our menu price. We work closely with you to tailor a package to suit your requirements.

Our function room offers great versatility, perfect for hosting a wide range of events including parties for any occasion, baby showers, christenings, funeral wakes and more.

We can cater up to 80 to 90 guests, depending on the type of event. Please note that due to licensing regulations we are unable to cater for any underage related events such as 18th and 21st birthday parties.

Can I book a table?

We recommend booking in advance for Sunday roasts and Lunch

when do you serve food?

We offer a small lunchtime menu of great homecooked food, Monday to Saturday from 12pm - 3pm

On Saturdays we also have a street food truck that changes weekly, serving food from 5pm - 9pm

On Sundays we serve roast dinners from 12pm until 4pm

do you have a car park?

We have a car park at the front entrance with plenty of parking

can i bring my dog?

Yes as long as they stay on a lead! We have plenty of water bowls and dog biscuits.
